Removing the text line "Welcome to the Frontpage" in Joomla 1.5

Certainly one or the other have wondered how to remove the phrase "Welcome to the Frontpage" placed on the front page of Joomla 1.5.x

In short:

1. go to Menu in the admin area
2. There, select the "Main Menu" or "Main Menu".
3. Then choose the menu item "Home" (Menu ID 1)
4. you find the phrase "welcome to the Frontpage" on the right side at "Parameters - System".
5. write your own title here.
6. Site title show "yes" "no": if you click "yes" your newly written title is also displayed on the page shown. If you click to "no" the title will not show on the page, but still in the top of the browser window. This is a good way to set your own the head line of the browser window which is also well found by search engines after that. Do rather use specifc titles.

It is the same with the "introduction text" in the admin area on the right side, occupying the entire square.

Remove the "info text" in the admin area at the right side. To remove it:

1. Go to the Admin Area of Joomla
2. Switch to Extentions > Module Manager > choose Administrator
3. Remove he first module on the upper right
